New Developments in Mammoth Town Council Race

And, now there are seven. Potential candidates, that is, for the Mammoth Town Council's three seats. So far, though, only one of those people has actually filed candidacy papers.

That's Matthew Lehman, long-time resident of the town. Clerk Jamie Gray confirmed Monday morning that Lehman had officially filed. Lehman had earlier stated that he will run on promotion and marketing of Mammoth.

Another new development. Allen Blumer of Mammoth pulled papers to run for Council. Blumer has expressed an interest in creating a wildlife sanctuary in town.

Still pending, the candidacies of Tony Barett, Rick Wood, John Eastman, Dawn Vereuck and Kirk Stapp. All of whom have pulled papers to run. The deadline to file was extended to March 17th since two incumbents, Neil McCarroll and Wendy Sugimura, will not seek re-election.
