With 20 years of experience in the California Highway Patrol in metropolitan Los Angeles areas, CHP Captain Joe Flores has come to Bishop. He is the new local commander of our area.flores.jpg

Captain Flores readily admits it's kind of culture shock after years in the big city, but he mentions the blue skies and reasonable traffic as pluses.

The Captain worked in dignitary protection in the CHP, as a Lieutenant in the Inland Empire and in the Barstow area. He worked an auto theft task force in Riverside County.

So, with lots of experience, he will head our area, and we will talk to him at greater length next week about issues here and new laws that will impact our lives.

Former head of the CHP in Bishop, Captain Al Carson, was promoted to the position of Assistant Chief of the Inland Division in San Bernardino.
