Urgent Closed Session Deals with Claim

In earlier months, the private dismissal of a Bishop police officer went to the City Administrator and then Bishop City Council on appeal. Proceedings remained confidential. Officials did reveal that the appeal was denied.  Now, that same officer, along with her husband, have filed a claim against the City of Bishop.     At the last Bishop City Council meeting, officials did reveal that a claim was filed by Nikki and Richard Hudachek against the City.  Officials said the issue was discussed in a closed session.     In fact, that closed session was added to the agenda at the last minute as an urgency agenda item.  The four councilmembers voted unanimously to add the closed session.     There was no public announcement after the closed session.     Little is known about the claim against the City, but officials indicated that it did allege a violation of individual rights.     Comments (0) Subscribe to this comment's feed Write comment Show/Hide comment form Name Email Comment Write the displayed characters Add Comment
