A work of many years, lots of research and love. Robin Morning has delivered her new book, Tracks of Passion, a 368 page photo essay about the story of the Eastern Sierra skiing, Dave McCoy and Mammoth Mountain.tracks_passion.jpg

Robin's book includes over 1100 photos. Our Cleland Hoff caught up with Robin Morning at the Mammoth Ski Museum and asked her if producing this epic book was something like giving birth. “It’s not like having a baby, but it is a child of mine. To see people enjoy it is amazing.”

Robin started research for Tracks of Passion in the early 90s. She was a teacher in San Diego at the time. She said Chris Lizza took on a year's worth of research, and then, with help from Mammoth Mountain, Robin worked straight through for two years, took off for school for two years and back on the book for two more years.

A book signing with Robin Morning, now set for Saturday, May 3rd at the Mammoth Ski Museum, from 4pm to 7pm.
